Women's Golf Victoria is the state sporting association for women's golf in Victoria. WGV consists of affiliated golf clubs, women's golf league, districts and individual members.

WGV represents 374 clubs in 21 districts (15 regional and 6 metropolitan) and over 26,500 members.

Victorian State Team for 2010 Gladys Hay Interstate Series Announced!

The 2010 Victorian State Team will train with WGV State Coach Peter Knight and State Team Manager Melanie Bryden in the lead up to the Australian Gladys Hay Interstate Series which will be held at MacLeod Golf Club (QLD) from September 13th - 17th 2010.

Stacey Keating has taken the Victorian Amateur Championship for a Second Time.

Stacey Keating of Victoria Golf Club has taken the title of Victorian Amateur Champion for 2010. Keating who took the prestigious title in 2006 showed a flawless game of golf on Friday having eight birdies in the morning 18 round, to put her 4 holes in front of fellow competitor Jo Charlton (Metropolitan) at the completion of round one.

In what can only be stated as a high class match, the two finalists started at the first tee on the west course early Friday morning, teeing off at 7.30am. Jo Charlton from Metropolitan Golf Club played a worthy match for any golfer, holding the lead until the 11^th hole in round one, a score which can be attributed to some amazing putts from the edge of the green. Charlton who made the qualifying round in 15^th position came out strong early in the match and displayed an eye for reading the position of the pins and a drive to make any amateur golfer envious.

Win a trip for two to Canberra and a personal tour of the AIS!

Play by the Rules is offering someone the chance to win a trip for two to fly and stay overnight in Canberra for a personal guided tour of the Australian Institute of Sport and possibly meet some of Australia’s sporting heroes. All you have to do is send in a photographic image and/or a written description that shows how your club has been welcoming and inclusive of a person/people from diverse backgrounds in your community.
